Get Rid of Constipation | 6 Best Home Remedies

Constipation is the condition where the stool becomes hard, dry and difficult to expel. Also, it is painful if you are suffering from constipation. In Ayurveda, there are different home remedies to get rid of constipation which you should try. Let’s see how to relieve constipation naturally?

Home Remedies for Constipation

1. Triphala Churna

One of the important home remedies for constipation is Triphala Churna (Powder). Triphala is made up of three fruits Amla, Baheda, and Harada. It improves the function of digestive system and provides essential nutrients also. Triphala not only relieves constipation but also it is effective to treat eyesight, blood circulation, obesity, high blood sugar and many health issues.

One 1-3 teaspoon of Triphala should be taken before going to the bed with a glass of warm water. If you take it at night it will relieve constipation and if you will take in the morning on an empty stomach it will provide essential nutrient to the body. You can repeat it for 15-30 days. 2. Warm Water

Another important home remedy to get rid of constipation is drinking warm water throughout the day. Yes, warm water improves the process of digestion and boost metabolism.

According to the Ayurveda, you should drink 2-3 glasses of warm water early in the morning on an empty stomach. This rule will definitely help you to clean your stomach. If possible drink only warm water if you want to prevent constipation.

3. Drink More Water

According to the Ayurveda, you should drink plenty of water throughout the day to get rid of constipation. It will keep you hydrated and boost the process of digestion. Without water, it is not possible to relieve constipation. Daily 8-10 glasses of water are necessary.

4. Castor Oil

Castor oil is also one of the best home remedies for constipation because it is known as a stimulant laxative. It works instantly after having it. It is effective to clean the intestine and pass stool easily.

Add 2-3 teaspoons of castor oil in one glass of warm water and drink it before going to bed or in the morning. After few minutes you will see the effect of castor oil. But do not repeat it daily.

It is better to take in the morning and avoid at night because at least you will take a good sleep at night. But if you are taking it in the morning then avoid going out.

5. Warm Lemon Honey Water

Instead of taking tea or coffee it is better to drink warm lemon honey water in the morning on an empty stomach. Warm lemon water is one of the popular home remedies to get rid of constipation.

Add one tablespoon of honey and lemon juice in a glass of warm water and drink it before brushing your teeth in the morning. Drinking honey lemon water daily is effective to clean your intestine and reduce weight naturally.

6. Milk and Cow Ghee

Add 1 tablespoon of desi cow ghee in a cup of milk and drink it before going to bed. It is effective to relieve constipation.

How to Drink Water

  1. Drink plenty of warm water early in the morning on an empty stomach.
  2. Drink water 4-60 minutes before having your meal.
  3. Do not drink water while having your food.
  4. Drink water 1-1/2 hour after having your food.
  5. Chew your food completely.
  6. Drink water sip by sip.
